The Tilted Uterus. WTF Does That Mean?
1 in every 5 women have a tilted uterus, medically classified as Retroverted Uterus.
I am one of them.
A retroverted uterus means the uterus is tipped backwards so that it aims towards the rectum instead of forward towards the belly. Some women may experience symptoms including painful sex.
While this condition is not life threatening or harmful to pregnancies, it can be a special pain (all pun intended) particularly if you also suffer from fibroids, endometriosis, physical bodily stress from holding multiple pregnancies, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), and multiple vaginal surgeries. Retroverted Uterus can also be hereditary as many are born with this condition.
Sex can also be very uncomfortable with a tilted uterus. Especially when you fawking with them straight daaaaacks. This is especially true when navigating with positions that require deep penetration. You may experience cramping and discomfort which is never bueno.
What I have learned over the years is that I must have a nigga with a curve daaaack. If he don't got a hook like a candy cane, bitch we can't do the damn thang. Mmmnkay?
Tips that have assisted me during these trying ass times consist of utilizing positions that allow your uterus to have flexibility. On my side, legs on shoulders, doggy style, reverse cowgirl etc. The key is to try positions that take the pressure off of your uterus while allowing you to receive the goodt kind of pressure from that daaaack or even fingers if you love digital stimulation. You can even "make up" your own positions as your comfort sees fit. I got a few favorites that I can't explain via text but do wonders for me. These have been amazing for me (in addition to my affliction with curved daaacks). You can literally create your own body party. Tilted cervixes deserve daaack too! Get creative heauxs!
Also pillows are your best friend! Not only do they provide cushion and support, they also assist in softening thrusts and make way for better penetration-that doesn't hurt. Various novelty sex stores sell sex position pillows that you can inflate and allow for discreet travel (think Baecations, daaack appointments, trench coat pop-ups. etc.) OR you can roll up a regular, schmegular, degular pillow. These pillows can be placed underneath your hips or directly underneath your lower abdomen during doggy style. I know some women (myself included) who also take a CBD gummy, motrin, sip a good drank, or blaze a nice roll up right before sex to assist in their relaxation and centering process.
Kegel exercises are also your best friend as they strengthen the pelvic floor (they aren't just good for tightening your pwussy, sis). Knee to chest exercises are also recommended to strengthen those muscles and alleviate abdominal pain.
No Heaux, you don't have to go at this alone. You don't have to suffer in silence. You don't have to experience another painful daaaaack appointment.
