Body Image Translate to Bedroom Image

Approximately 91% of women are unhappy with their bodies and resort to dieting to achieve their ideal body shape. Unfortunately, only 5% of women naturally possess the body type often portrayed by Americans in the media.

Throw in the fact that sisters have bodies that are typically curvier as well family histories of health related conditions; and you have a melting pot full of entities that attribute to issues with our body confidence. Body image can be defined as the lens we view our bodies with and how we hypothesize they way others view our bodies. Our lens can be convoluted and altered by societal pressure, family, friends, and unhealthy relationships.

Body image always affects our movements on a sexual plane as people aren’t as inhibited and free when they have hang up and unfair societal expectations on the way they “should” look.

To that I say: Fawk all that.

Your body is supposed to look the way YOU feel the most confident and sexy-which may not fit the “standard”. For an example, I know that I will NEVER (again) be the socially friendly size 4 and guess what? That shit wouldn’t look good on me anymore. I love my curves and I’ve learned to embrace my athletic build. Recovering from childhood body dysmorphia and battling with eating disorders well into my early 30s, I went through a lot of unnecessary trauma and missed out on a lot of experiences (particularly sexually) due to my irrational expectation of what I thought I should look like.

I don’t want any of my girls to go through that shit. Regardless of their age. For what? We don’t know how much time we have and we’re here for a good time-not a fawking traumatized time.

Please check our Forum this afternoon for a special members only health and fitness Q&A session that I will be facilitating this upcoming Sunday with our fellow member Coach Chris.

Chile, I have met enough people in my life with a fear of intimacy to last me a few lifetimes. To be honest with you, I have even struggled with it in my past. Then I started to realize how much this
